e-Courts: e-Courts is an ambitious project involving three stakeholders viz. The Govt. of India, Govt. of Assam and Gauhati High Court. The project is primarily aimed at infusing information technology in the justice delivery system to achieve greater administrative efficiency and thereby reducing the pendency of cases in the Courts.
Implementation of the 1st phase of the project is underway as per Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed by Govt. of India, Govt. of Assam and Gauhati High Court. Recently, another MoU between the Govt. of India, Govt. of Assam and Gauhati High Court has been signed for implementation of Phase-II of the eCourts integrated Mission Mode Project (MMP).
